KST Book III Episode 26

Return to the High Seas

"Previously, on KST Book III: Warrior of Shadows, Shy Guy, Goomba, Koopa (aka Super Troopa), and Random Lad were hired by Eggman Nega to take down Super Troopa's arch-nemisis, the Mastermind of Crime, Mr. Cyclops.  Together, our comic book heroes joined forces and defeated the one-eyed menace from upgrading the Heavy Lobster into a weapon of mass destruction for Mewtwo, King Dedede, and Eggman Nega to use."

The Glitz Pit, a fighting arena in a floating city, Glitzville, three days before Alpha Red.  The crowd roars as two fighters, a muscular yellow bird named "Rawk Hawk," and a man in blue and white armor wielding a laser blaster named "Grif," duke it out.

MH: Masta Hamma, ace reporter, here, comin' live from the Glitz Pit where champion Rawk Hawk is taking on the only one to go through all twenty rounds of the Glitz Pit faster than the Great Gonzales, the mercenary, Grif!

Rawk Hawk: I say, pretty boy, you've done good to get this far, but you'll never take the championship away from me.  Ya know why?  'Cuz ya gonna get RA-A-A-A-A-A-A-A-AWK!

Grif: Do you ever shut up? (blasts at the ceiling above Rawk Hawk) I'm ending this.

Rawk Hawk: Hah, hah, hah!  You missed.

Grif: Check again, Dead-eye.

Rawk Hawk: Huh? (looks up) ....AAAAHHH! (the lighting grid falls on him) ....Ow.

MH: Dis could be it for the sucka.  Here comes Jolene, owner of the Glitz Pit, with the official ruling.

Jolene: It's over, folks.  Rawk Hawk is down for the count.  The winnner and new champion of the Glitz Pit is.... GRIF!

MH: And that's all she wrote! (the crowd cheers for Grif) C'mon, O'Brian Brudda, let's get a close-up with da champ.

O'Brian Bros.: You got it, Boss.

MH: (both of them approach Grif) Grif, you've single-handedly won the entire Glitz Pi-

Grif: Get that thing out of my face!

Grif takes out the camera.  Static shows on a television screen in a bar in a place known as Rogueport.  Marth, Shadow, Captain Falcon, and Sir Kibble watch the static on the television.

Sir Kibble: My goodness!  What a fierce rogue.  I wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley.

Shadow: So what?  I don't see what the big deal is with that Grif.

Captain Falcon: He's not only a fierce fighter, he's a rough F-Zero racer.  I've met with him before, but he seem to disappear after that.

Marth: He is indeed mysterious.  The order has been trying to keep a sharp eye out on him.

Sir Kibble: Why's that, Sir Marth?

Marth: Because he was born in Hyrule.  How he got to Falcon's world from Hyrule is beyond us.  We can never keep track of him.

Captain Falcon: Well, well, he is full of surprises.  Are we here to find him?

Marth: Unfortunately, no.  We need to report to Rogueport Harbor and meet someone named Professor Frankly for our mission.

Shadow: Then let's get going.  I'm tired of waiting around here.

Marth, Shadow, Captain Falcon, and Sir Kibble head down to the harbor where different sailors are moving different things.  On a run-down ship, Professer Frankly and his assistant, Goombella, await for their arrival.

Prof. Frankly: Ah, you must me the four working men who accepted my exploration voyage.

Shadow: Great, just what I need.  MORE Goombas.

Goombella: Hey, not cool.  I'm actually much smarter than most Goombas.  I'm Goombella, from Goomba University.

Marth: That must mean you are Professor Frankly.  My name is Marth, and this is Sir Kibble.

Captain Falcon: You can call me Falcon.

Shadow: And I'm Shadow the Hedgehog.

Prof. Frankly: Now, then, boys, there are three others who will be joining us.  Bobbery, Seymour, come down and see the crew.

Bobbery: Let me see. (jumps off the ship) Welcome aboard.  I be Admiral Bobbery.

Shadow: Hmm? (aside) Never thought I'd see him again. (to Bobbery) The pleasure's yours.

Bobbery: I was just showing Seymour about the ship. (Waddle Doo diguised as a sailor jumps down) Seymour, say hello to the crew.

Waddle Doo: Ooh!  Um... Hi.  I'm Seymour.  How's it going... (runs back on the ship) Later.

Sir Kibble: I say, he's friendly.

Bobbery: This be the ship we're going on.  Actually, it belongs to a good friend of mine, Cortez.  You'll see him shortly.  He likes to make a surprising enterence.

Prof. Frankly: Now then, all that's left to do is to wait for- (loud crash) What in the hey?!

Everyone looks over to see Grif trying to beat up the sailors around him, destroying different crates on the harbor with a sword.

Grif: Get out of my way!

Sailor Toad: Hey, pal, we don't want any trouble.

Grif: You should have thought of that before your little friend tried to steal from me!

Sailor Goomba: What?  It wasn't my fault.

Grif: That's it!

Marth: Stop! (stops Grif's sword with Falchion) It isn't polite to cut up strangers.

Grif: Back off, or I'll cut YOU down to size.

Marth: If it will stop your blind rampage, then I accept.

Marth and Grif sword fight each other, clashing their swords together.  During the duel, Grif brings out a dagger and tries to use that as well.  Marth uses Counter to knock both weapons out of Grif's hands.

Grif: Not bad.... Not many can disarm Wolf's Tail and Wolf's Fang that easily.

Marth: Now stop this. (returns Falchion to its sheath and turns around) It's just pointless.

Grif: Grr... (points his laser blaster at Marth) Right after one more thing-

Captain Falcon: Grif, long time no see. (pushes Grif's weapon down gently) I haven't seen you since the beast incident in Mute City.

Grif: You again, Falcon?  Grrr, I don't have time for this.  I'm hear to meet someone named Frankly.

Prof. Frankly: I'm right here, gentlemen.  Now that everyone is here, we can board Cortez's ship and shove off.

Grif: Fine, then. (heads towards the ship) Let's get going.

Goombella: Professer, can we, like, trust him?  He's one tough cookie.  He beat Rawk Hawk in record time.

Prof. Frankly: Now, Goombella, when we passed out the flyers for this expedition, we both knew some shady characters would answer the call.  Bobbery, are we all set to go?

Bobbery: We're ready to go, Professsor.

Sir Kibble: Well, Sir Marth, Sir Falcon, Sir Shadow, all aboard.

Shadow: Let's get this over with.

Everyone gets onboard Cortez's ship and set sail for the high seas.  Hours later, Professor Frankly and Admiral Bobbery lead Marth, Shadow, Captain Falcon, Sir Kibble, and Goombella to a secret room on the ship.

Captain Falcon: Okay, what's this thing you want to show us?

Prof. Frankly: You four were recommened by a chap named "Kamek" for this mission.  The Admiral here found a creature washed up on Keel Haul Island.  We believe that it has power over the entire ocean.

Bobbery: What we are about to show you, you can not tell anyone else.  Not Grif nor Seymour.

Goombella: You can count on me, Bobbery.

Prof. Frankly: Alright, then.  Come on out.  It's okay.  They're friends of mine.  You can trust them.

Everyone watches as the Seafaring Pokemon, Manaphy, comes out of hiding and looks at everyone.

Manaphy: Mana, Manaphy.

Goombella: Oooooh!  It's so cute!

Sir Kibble: But what is it?

Marth: It's a Manaphy.  I've heard that he's the Prince of the Sea.

Sir Kibble: A prince! (bows down to Manaphy) Prince Manaphy, I shall defend thee to my last breath.

Manaphy: Mana?  Mana, Mana, Manaphy.  Phy, Manaphy.

Captain Falcon: I see.  Something attacked you and forced you out of your home, the Sea Palace.

Prof. Frankly: Great Goombas!  You can understand Manaphy?

Captain Falcon: Sure, can't you?

Shadow: What my friend means to say is if something is after Manaphy, then we've been sent to escort him back home and fight whatever attacked him.

Marth: Then we shall take turns guarding Manaphy in here.  Shadow, you take the first shift.

Shadow: Whoa, I'm not spending my time with some little water thing.  You go first.

Marth: I'm sorry, but I'm technically your superior.

Shadow: Just get out.  I'll take the first shift.

Meanwhile, Waddle Doo leads Grif to another part of the ship, making sure no one follows them.

Grif: This better be important, you little runt.

Waddle Doo: Yes, I assure you, my boss would like to speak to you.

Grif: Make it snappy. (looks around) Well, where is he?

Mewtwo: I'm right here. (teleports right in front of him) My name is Mewtwo, and I have a job for you.

Grif: That depends on how much you're willing to pay me.

Mewtwo: I assure you, your reward will be great.  Now then, there is a creature that commands the sea on this very ship named "Manaphy."  You mission is to capture Manaphy and bring it to me.

Grif: That's it?  You've gotta be kidding me.

Mewtwo: Think what you want, but if you refuse to obey me, the consequences will be dire.

Grif: Heh.  I've faced worse adversaries, and with prettier faces than yours.

Mewtwo: I shall be back in twenty-four hours.  Don't disappoint me. (Teleports away)

Waddle Doo: You better do what he says.  You don't know what he's capable of.

Grif: You better stay out of my way, Seymour. (pushes Waddle Doo aside as he leaves) You have no idea what I can do.

"A fierce mutiny this way comes.  Mewtwo and Waddle Doo have seemed to recruit Grif to capture Manaphy.  With Marth, Shadow, and Captain on board, Grif has alot going against him.  And there is still the matter of what attacked Manaphy before.  Will our heroes stop Grif, or is he too much for them to handle?  And what is Mewtwo planning to do with Manaphy?  Be here for the next exciting episode of KST Book III: Warrior of Shadows."
