The thing about requests from me.

Who am I?  Is it Me?  Am I part of the team? (guess which song this is, and you get a free cookie)

I now have an announcement to make, but first, this for my secret Santa.

You may use any one of them.  My personally prefer that you draw two-three of them or more.  Interacting or by themselves, I don't mind at all.  I do hope to take the time to look at them and choose your favorites.

Okay, that's over with.  Now I can move on with this announcement.

REQUESTS FROM ME ARE CLOSED INDEFINITELY!!!

What this means is that you can't request something from me under normal circumstances.  Why am I doing this?  Why does it matter?

Good questions.  Everything I do on deviantArt is for my own enjoyment.  I don't plan on getting any money on the things I do here.  Money for my art will be for my own original ideas, not the ideas based off of video games as you know me to do.  This place is one of my escapes from the real world, and I do things for myself.  When people start asking for things from me, I feel that I just do them for others and not myself (and that takes away from the quality of my work).  But do you really care?  If you haven't requested anything from me, you probably don't care.  And that's fine.  But I want to make it official so that everyone knows.  And now you know.

Another reason is that some people ask things to get only one thing from me. (I won't go into details.  It gets complicated.)  When that happens, I feel like an artist for hire, and the only thing I get is another drawing under my belt.  It was great for when I started out over 6 years ago, but now, I don't know, it's gotten old.  You get what I'm feeling?

There are exceptions to the rule:

First off, I am happy to draw a thing or two for any of my good friends on this site, the ones I've worked with and/or talk to on a daily basis.  You know who you are.
Birthday presents are still available, but I have the last say on who I do them for.  Mostly, I'll just do them anyway for friends and for artists I respect.
Special Occasions like Secret Santa's and Art Jams I'll do.  Contests, well... only if I'm in the mood.
I may do one or two for someone if they get me interested in it.  Again, I have the last say, and I can direct you to someone who could make this request instead of me.

Guess that's all.  Anything is subject to change, but I'm not doing requests willy-nilly for everybody anymore.  Questions?  Leave a comment.
