At the edge of the bridge leaning over Lake Floria, Zelda carefully steps to the edge and looks down to the water below.  She turns around and walks towards Bucha, the Kikwi leader, who had lead her to this spot.

Zelda: Bucha, are you sure this is the only way to see the Water Dragon?

Bucha: Kwiii.  I'm sure it is.  Well... Yes, I think it is.  Even with my fellow Kikwis in distress, I know this to be the only way.

Zelda: And you are certain that you saw a monster jump into the lake from here?

Bucha: I'm sure of it.  I caught a glimps of it before I hid myself.  I almost past out.  Kwii.

Zelda: Alright, I believe you. (breathes in) If what that Rose of Despair said was true, he's sending three monsters after the guardians of Hyrule.  The Water Dragon could be in peril.

Bucha: Kwii!  That sounds dangerous.  I hope Link can save us.

Zelda: Link.... Don't worry, Bucha.  Link's taking care of what needs to be done, and I have to do the same. (slowly breathes in) Here I go.... (steps off the bridge) Aaaaaaahhhh....!

Zelda falls down faster and faster towards the surface of the lake.  She plummets in feet first, making a splash.  She opens her eyes and looks around for a moment, then swims up to the surface.  As she regains her breath, one of the lake creatures, a Parella, swims up to her.

Parella: Hmmm.... (swims in front of Zelda) You're not a monster.  Who are you?

Zelda: Oh?!  You startled me.  My name is Zelda.  Link has told me about you.  You are a Parella, aren't you?

Parella: You know Link? (a red Parella swims up to them) Jellyf!  This stranger knows Link.  She can help us help Lady Faron.

Jellyf: Is that right?  We need Link's help right away.

Zelda: Um, Link isn't available right now, but I can help.  I need to speak to the Water Dragon right away.  It's very important.

Jellyf: Yes, yes, you can help us while we wait for Link.  Come, come, we must take Zelda to the Lady Faron right away.

Parella: Yes, right away, Jellyf.  Zelda, please hold your breath.

Jellyf and the Parella lead Zelda through the underwater tunnel leading to the Water Dragon's domain, coming up for air as Zelda needs.  The three arrive and see the Water Dragon, Faron, resting while the other Parella  ask questions all at once.  Zelda steps up onto Faron's platfom as Faron picks her teeth with her talon.

Faron: It seems we have a visitor in my chamber.  Who are you?

Zelda: Great and powerful Water Dragon, I am Zelda. (bows to her) I wish to speak to you of a matter of great importance.

Faron: Hmmm.... (moves her head closer to Zelda) Ah, yes, you are her Grace, Hylia, reborn.  This must be our first encounter since the days of old.  I was not expecting you to look so... small.

Zelda: Please, I need to speak to you about the monster that has entered Lake Floria. (the Parella clamour in shock) Everyone, calm down.

Faron: Zelda, my children, there is no need to panic.  I have done away with the invading monster.

Zelda: You have?

Faron: That is right.  That monster made a very delectible meal. (rubs her stomach) It won't be causing any more trouble.

Zelda: You ate it?!  But-

Faron: That overgrown spider was easy to overcome.

Jellyf: But Lady Faron, was it safe for you to eat?  It could have been poisoned.

Faron: That is not my concern.  Rather, I want to know where it came from.

Zelda: I may know where it originated and why it came here.

Zelda explains to Faron and the Parella of the Rose of Despair and of its evil plans.  She tells them where Link is and why she has come to speak to Faron.  Faron gives Zelda her attention, clenching her stomach with her hand.

Faron: And yet another evil plagues my domain.  I should eat whoever pulled the chosen hero away to this Ranveya.  He should be here fighting this enemy.

Zelda: I've already said that Link and someone named "Chloro" are fighting this evil there so it can never come to Hyrule.

Faron: Hyrule?

Zelda: Oh, Link and I can up with that name for the surface.  What do you think?

Faron: I don't care what you call it.  Maybe I should eat Link instead.  It is his duty to protect this land, he cannot run off and... Hmmm...

Zelda: Faron, are you alright?

Faron: I am... Guh... I am alright... Worry not about me.

The Parella yell their concern about Faron all at once.  Faron tries to calm them down.  Suddenly, Zelda looks around, unable to hear the voices of the Parella and the Water Dragon.  She then starts hearing the voice of the Rose of Despair, same as before when it spoke to her through False Ghirahim.

These aquatic vermin will soon know extinction.  Their reliance on their guardian will not help them once the Dragon of Water is no more.  Slowly, this ancient monster of Hyrule will destroy the dragon from the inside out, and then, it will feast upon the aquatic vermin until there are none left.

Zelda: No! (looks around.  Sound has return to her) ... Faron, you have to listen to me!  The monster you ate is not dead!

Faron: What do you mean?

Zelda: Right now, I heard the Rose of Despair.  It said that the monster you ate is trying to kill you from inside your stomach. (the Parella panic again)  YOu have to spit it out before it's too late.

Faron: Hmmmm... I will not.

Zelda: Please, you have to or else you'll die.

Faron: You possess Her Grace's memories, do you not?  The spider I ate is a monster from ancient times, Gohma.

Zelda: Gohma?  I've never heard of it.

Faron: It is a fast and cunning creature.  It almost outran me, and my speed is great than that of my Parella.  If I let that thing loose, it will surely catch them and eat them without delay. (groans)

Zelda: So you know what it's doing to you, and still won't let him out?

Faron: (groaning) It is a sacrifice I must take for the ones I protect.  Her Grace would agree with me.

Zelda: But that's what it wants!  It wants you gone so it can-

Faron: Enough. (points to the exit behind her) There is exit.  Take your leave at once.

Jellyf: But Lady Faron, what if Zelda is correct?

Faron: (groaning) I will not hear another word of it.

Zelda: Faron, please...

Faron glares at Zelda ready to eat her as well.  Zelda backs away and begins to walk towards the exit.  She stops hearing Faron collapse from the pain and the sound of the Parella panicing for their leader.  Zelda clenches her fists, then turns around and confronts Faron once more.

Zelda: Faron, I demand that you spit up that monster immediately.

Faron: You have no authority to make demands of me.

Zelda: Don't I?  I am Hylia reborn, which means I am Hylia.  You obey Hylia's commands.  Therefore, you must obey what I say.

Faron: How dare you.  You know nothing of sacrifice.

Zelda: I know that I won't let you make this selfish sacrifice.

Faron: Selfish?

Zelda: Whether you like it or not, the Rose of Despair plans on taking over Hyrule, and I need all of the Dragons at their best to help fight.  You can't fight with that monster killing you.

Faron: Listen to me-

Zelda: No, you listen to me!  The Parella depend on you.  If you die, who will protect them?  Link is in another realm, and there is a chance that my stength may not be enough to stop the Rose of Despair.  Only you can protect them.  If you care for them, you have to stay alive for their sake.

Jellyf: She's right, Lady Faron.  Please do not leave us.  It pains us to see you in agony. (the other Parella shout in agreement) We all love you, and we won't stand to let anything harm you.

Zelda: I won't say it again, Faron.  Swallow your pride and spit up that monster.  (takes out the Goddess Bow) I will make sure it won't touch a single Parella.  This I swear to you.

Faron: .... (breathes in and cringes) Alright, you win.  Hylia or not, if you let that monster escape, I will eat you instead.

Faron manages to lift herself towards the exit.  Zelda swims to the surface leading to the exit and draws an arrow on the bow.  After some force, Faron spits up a giant spider monster.  As it tries to stand back up, one huge eye opens up.  Zelda immediately fires an arrow into its eye.  The monster shreiks in pain and runs out of the exit.

Faron: After Gohma!  Don't let it run free.

Zelda: Okay.  You can count on me, Faron.

Zelda runs after Gohma.  She looks around and hears a splash in front of the temple in front of her, the Ancient Cistern.  She walks over to the edge of the bridge leading to the temple and looks into the pool of water.

Zelda: Now where did you go?  You can obviously swim.... (Gohma jumps out of the water behind her) Oh, no, it's trapped me.

Gohma: Naaaaaah! (crawling towards Zelda) Naaaah!

Zelda: (fires another arrow and hits its eye) Eat this.

Gohma: Noooaaa!!! (shuts its eye and swings its front legs at Zelda)

Zelda: (stepping back) Whoa?! (stops right at the edge of the bridge) Darn, if it pushes me into the water, I might be done for.  No, I can't let that happen.  I promised Faron I would defeat you, and that's what I'll do.

Zelda steps foward to confront Gohma again.  Gohma swings its front legs again, pushing Zelda onto her back.  Gohma then positions its legs by Zelda's sides and leans over her.  Zelda draws back another arrow and waits.

Zelda: C'mon, open that eye of yours.  Do it already.

Gohma: Nooooaaaa.... (opens its eye) Naaaaaaah!!!

Zelda: Got you! (fires the arrow) Hah!

The arrow pierces Gohma's eye.  It cries out in agony again as it backs way from Zelda and collapses onto the ground.  Its body turns black, then into flower petals.  The petals are blown away by the wind.  Zelda stands back up and walks away from the Ancient Cistern's entrance victorious.

Bucha: Kwii! (Zelda turns to him to the left) That was amazing!  You did it!  Link couldn't have done it better himself.

Zelda: Thank you. .... Hey, how did you get here?

Bucha: Kwii.  There's an entrance from the forest that's much easier to get to besides the bridge.  Didn't you know that?

Zelda: But didn't you say that... oh, nevermind.  (Bucha hides himself) What are you doing now?

Faron flies from her domain and down to greet Zelda.  Zelda steps back and observes Faron in all her glory.

Faron: My, my, I am impressed by your prowess, Zelda.  Clearly you have inherited her Grace's strength and wisdom.  Good for you.

Zelda: I'm just glad all of you are safe.

Faron: Indeed.  My Parella are most happy to see me alive and well.  While I do wish to have dealt with Gohma my own way, I must admit that I should remain living if, at the least, to protect them.  You are her Grace, so I am bound by duty to ask if you approve of this.

Zelda: I do.

Faron: (gasps) Your Grace, now that I am free of that monster's influence, I sense a great evil attacking the mountains to the north.  The Fire Dragon is in danger.

Zelda: That stupid rose's doing no doubt.  Faron, I must ask you to take me there immediately.

Faron: As you wish.  Hold on tight.  This will be a bumpy ride.

Faron takes hold of Zelda in her hand, then flies high into the air.  They travel north as fast as the Water Dragon can to help the Fire Dragon.  Bucha reveals himself to see Faron fly off and also more black flower petals flying around the forest by the wind.
